Thomas Roy Perks 1926-2021





Roy passed away peacefully in Royal Preston Hospital

on Saturday 2nd October, aged 95 years.



Roy was a dearly loved Husband, Dad, Father in Law,

Grandad, and Great Grandad. He will be greatly missed

by all his family and friends.



Roy moved from Middleton, Greater Manchester with his wife

Lilian and two sons, Anthony and Adrian in 1965 and opened a

boarding and breeding dog kennels at Bay Horse. A few years

later the family opened another business in Garstang called

‘Perks Clothing Centre’ where many local people would shop.

Roy also ran a big band in Manchester and regularly played drums.

On his move to Garstang, he continued to play in local bands and

clubs in the Garstang and Preston area. Later, following retirement,

he enjoyed caravanning all over the country along with Lilian.

More recently Roy moved to Oak Road where he regularly attended

many activities at ‘Oak Road Social Club’ along with many

friends and members.



A small committal service will take place at Preston Crematorium

on Friday 22nd October at 10.45am. This will be followed with a

Memorial Service to celebrate his life held at The Wyrebank at 12noon.
