William Henry Bainbridge 1936-2021
Henry sadly passed away in Royal Lancaster Infirmary on
Wednesday 24th February, aged 84 years.
Henry, born in 1936, was brought up in Littledale. He married
Margaret in 1959 and moved to Stake House , Oakenclough
where he farmed for over 50 years becoming well known and
respected in the farming community.
He had three children, Gwen, Ann and the late Duncan. Henry was
very proud of his grandchildren, Michael, Christopher, Becca, Jonathan
and Daniel, and was a very special ‘old grandad’ to Connie, Delilah and
Henry. Father in law of George and Malcolm and a dear grandad Baa.
His funeral service will be held at Calder Vale Methodist Chapel on
Monday 15th March at 11.00am. This will be followed with a private
committal in the churchyard of St. Eadmer Church, Bleasdale.
Unfortunately, the current restrictions do not allow for many people
to attend the church service.
The family do welcome friends and acquaintances to pay their respects
to the funeral cortege.
We shall leave the Garstang Funeral Home on Bridge Street at approximately
10.20am and travel to the family home. We expect the funeral cortege to travel
down Garstang High Street, on to Bridge Street at approximately 10.35am
eventually turning up Calder House Lane on the way to Calder Vale.
