In Loving Memory

of

Esther Heaton 1934-2024

Esther passed away peacefully

on Tuesday 23rd January

with her loving family by her side.

She was 89 years old.

Esther was the dearly loved wife of the

late Hubert Heaton (Cuthy) and a very

much loved mum of Karen and Claire.

Cherished nanna of Megan, Niall, Niamh,

Orla, Eoin and Pierce.  Dear mother in law

of David and Ian.

Esther was born on Moss Lane in Garstang

in 1934 the youngest sister of Anne, Jack, Bill

and Reg Cross.  As a young girl she moved to

Dimples Lane where she lived for nearly 30 years.

She attended St Thomas’s Primary School in

Garstang before going onto Greeves School and

then the Technical College in Lancaster.  She

married Cuthy in 1955 and together they ran a

variety of businesses in the local area including

Heaton and Cross coal merchants and

Castle View Guest House and taxis.  She loved

Garstang and lived on Bonds Lane for over 50

happy years.  Sadly, she was diagnosed with

mixed dementia and spent her last 6 years living

with her daughter, son in law and beloved grandchildren.

Her funeral service will take place at the

Garstang United Reformed Church

on Friday 9th February at 11.00am

before she will be reunited with her

beloved late husband Cuthy

and laid to rest at St. Thomas’ churchyard.
